Here is a useful relaxation breathing technique to use when feeling anxious or stressed or to aid sleep.

This method was developed by Dr. Andrew Weil based on yoga techniques.

Find somewhere quiet to sit if possible. Place the tip of your tongue just behind the front teeth where it feels rough and keep it there whilst you perform the breathing.  Exhale fully with a "whoosh" sound. Breathe in to count of 4, hold for 7, then exhale "whoosh" for count of 8. Repeat three more times.
